Gyms, special trainers and subscriptions are on the rise. The main result here is that by exercise (be it jogging or lifting), you find that you are replacing body fat with water. It is true that at the end of the exercise (excuse the pun), you will be more healthy and toned but you have defeated the purpose. Rather than lose weight, it would appear that you have gained. The body fat has been replaced with muscle. The bathroom scale and mirror tell no tales. You still can’t fit that high school dress that you envision.
